A new chapter started for Lloyd and Helen Fortin on June 13, 2014 when they opened Chez Helen Restaurant.

Since 1993, the former Crystal Lynn Restaurant had served locals in Madawaska, Maine until Lloyd and Helen acquired the restaurant. Looking to continue the Acadian traditions of fine food and hospitality, Chez Helen set out on a commitment to provide an inviting and family-friendly environment to locals and visitors alike.

Lloyd works at the United States Postal Service as a full-time mail carrier and is a big supporter of Chez Helen. Helen manages and operates the restaurant, also as a full time cook!

We have a staff of 12 employees which are very fast, courteous, and make sure that your experience at Chez Helen will keep you coming back for our great food and service.

We are very happy to serve our community and visitors from afar, including our Canadian friends from across the border.

We strive for perfection while serving you our famous Acadian dishes. You will be reminded of your childhood food - when your Mom or Grandma would prepare their homemade cooking… potato fricassee, ployes, cabbage rolls, pate chinois, chicken stew, or cretons.

We are well known for our lightly battered “Fish n Chip” plate, Grilled Haddock dinner, and our homemade Chicken Fingers.

Start your day off right with breakfast - served until 1pm daily.

If you haven't been to Chez Helen, come join us - you won't be disappointed!
